The NPO's Nuclear Information Office released the records of interviews obtained through a Freedom of Information request to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on May 14. In response to the government's policy of allowing the operation period of nuclear power plants to be extended for up to 60 years, the Nuclear Regulation Authority instructed the NRA to consider a system to confirm safety.

In the first interview held in July last year, a person in charge of the ministry conveyed the image of the revision of the law and said, "It is important that safety regulations do not appear to be relaxed"
