This is the first time an international cruise ship has called at a port in Ibaraki Prefecture since the spread of the new coronavirus. At the pier, members of the local preservation society greeted them by playing taiko drums.

The ship had a capacity of 2700,11 passengers, and passengers from the United States, Europe, and Asian countries landed one after another. The "Diamond Princess" will depart from Ibarki Port on the evening of the 4st and visit Iwate and Aomori prefectures, as well as Busan, South Korea.
