On May 20, the city of Libourne, in Gironde, launches a "tiger mosquito weather" to warn the inhabitants a week in advance of a strong arrival of these insects. Tiger mosquitoes, this striped insect, are now installed in 71 departments of France.
Unpleasant bites that also transmit diseases such as dengue or chikungunya. The city has already installed 78 bollards that suck up these mosquitoes. Nearly 40 additional aircraft will be deployed before the end of this year.
