Filmmakers promise that the new tape will differ from the previous ones not only in the plot component, but also in visual design. The video features a young Coriolanus Snow, who becomes a mentor to a member of the poor 12th district, Lucy Gray, and other characters.

The plot revolves around a young president of Panem, who is appointed mentor to Lucy Gray. The trailer showed other heroes of the picture: Professor Volumnia Gall, the dean of the academy Cascu Highbottom, the host of the show Lucky Flickerman and others.
