NHK: It has been 3 years since the Constitution of Japan came into force in three days. When asked whether they thought the human rights of LGBTQ and other sexual minorities were protected, 76% said they thought they were being protected.

44% of respondents said they think same-sex marriage should be legally recognized, and 15% said it should not be. 18% of 29- to 68-year-olds answered "I think it should be recognized," 30% of those in their 58s, and 40% ofthose in their 62s.
