Castrojeriz, in the region of Odra Pisuerga, has about 800 inhabitants. It had a notable role in the Middle Ages, especially the reconquest, when it won its fuero, the first in Castile.

The ruins of its castle can be seen at a great distance, but even more interesting are its churches that hide authentic treasures, fruit of the money amassed by local wool merchants. It is a corner of the Castilian plateau that invites you to calm down and enjoy the small pleasures. It has a wild balsam where rockrose, santolina, lavender and rosemary abound.
