Kochi Prefecture's specialty sweet potato, "Tosa Beni", is shipped ahead of the rest of Japan. The potatoes are harvested using a special machine so as not to damage them.

Six farmers in Yasu Town, Konan City, expect to ship about 2 tons this year. They are cultivated taking advantage of the warm climate of Kochi Prefectures' warm climate. The harvested TosaBeni is shipped mainly to the Kanto region, where it is eaten with its skin.
