A fire has broken out on a construction site in Hamburg's HafenCity. Dark clouds of smoke could be seen from the spot.
The fire brigade warns that the population could be "affected" by smoke gases. The building is still under construction, a police spokesman told the dpa news agency. The background to the incident is still unclear, reports of injuries are not available, the NDR reports. The police wrote on Twitter, "banging noises" came from gas cylinders that were on the construction site.
