Hassan II Mosque, a religious and cultural complex, is located on the coast of Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. Built during the reign of King Hassan II and named after him, it took 6 years to build.

The mosque is unique among Moroccan architecture in its location, size and originality of design, and its 200-meter high minaret. It is visited by about 300,<> foreign tourists annually and is the icon of Moroccan mosques, which worshipers from different regions are keen to visit whenever the month of Ramadan arrives.
