On June 6, Beijing officially implemented the "cross-province application" of marriage registration. At 1 a.m., at the marriage registration office of the Fengtai District Civil Affairs Bureau, the city's first couple of "inter-provincial" marriage registration couples received a marriage certificate.

It is understood that in Beijing to register a marriage across provinces, the masses should submit valid residence certificates in addition to the documents and supporting materials stipulated in the Regulations on Marriage Registration and the Norms for Marriage Registration. In order to meet the needs of the masses for marriage registration in different places, in November 2022, the Beijing Municipal Work Permit Agency submitted an application to the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
