The Bandai Azuma Skyline is a 28.7-kilometer-long mountain sightseeing road connecting Fukushima City and Inawashiro Town. The road is closed every year from autumn to spring when the road surface is frozen and snow accumulates.
The snow removal work was completed and the road closure was lifted at 14 a.m. on the 10th. The full-fledged tourist season began on the 14th, and nearly 80 cars and motorcycles that had been eagerly awaiting passage were lined up.
