Francois Ozon's latest film, My Crime, tells the story of a woman who is forced to confess to a murder she did not commit. Ozon maintains that comedy conveys messages more effectively than drama.

"I am convinced that even male chauvinists and defenders of patriarchy by simple inertia can have a sense of humor," says the director with optimism, some naivety and, indeed, a lot of humor. "In an amoral world, a certain amorality is allowed," says Ozon to justify his film and the very work of his protagonist.
