Wang Mouzhong worked in the sales of map products in a book company in Beijing for more than ten years. He set up a cultural company on his own, mainly engaged in the production and sale of maps and map peripheral stationery such as atlases.

Wang came up with the idea of reducing costs and making pirated maps. He sold the maps with the original price of 40 yuan in large quantities at prices ranging from 0.6 yuan to 1.15 yuan per map, and obtained at least 0.1 yuan gross profit per map.
