In 2010, before streaming platforms became what they are, José Luis Guerín imagined the possibility of something like a last dream. The filmmaker turned his journey through the different festivals of the world with En la ciudad de Sylvia into a film.

Guest exemplifies avant la lettre the strange situation experienced by film festivals on the verge of opening the 76th edition of the largest of them all: Cannes. "After the pandemic, a kind of spontaneous consensus was established that placed the future of film festivals in the hybrid concept," says Jaime Ripoll.
