World leaders congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election for a new presidential term. He was one of the first to congratulate the leaders of major countries that share strong economic relations with Turkey.

The "palace speech" carried many messages for Turks related in one way or another to the economy, including the issue of refugees, earthquake victims, the inflation crisis, and interest rate cuts. The younger generations, angry and demanding change by nature, do not realize what it was like when President Erdogan came to power.
