The Ichinosaka River, which flows through the urban area of Yamaguchi City, is known as a famous spot where many genji fireflies can be seen. A workshop was held near the river to make old-fashioned "firefly cages," and parents and children could be seen making baskets from straw.
The "Firefly Festival" was limited to this one day, but the fireflies in Ichinosakagawa can be enjoyed until the beginning of next month. It was canceled three years ago due to the influence of the new corona.
