The convention, held in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, was attended by female members of the Imperial Family. The Empress handed certificates of commendation to representatives of individuals and organizations that had made meritorious contributions to the activities of the Red Cross.

A report was given on her activities, and Yui Yada of the Japan Red Cross Society, who was dispatched to Ukraine, talked about the opening of temporary evacuation centers and her experience of conducting traveling medical care in mountainous areas. "The Empress said, 'It touched my heart, and I hope that the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine will end as soon as possible,'" Yada said.
