The Ministry of Industry has allocated more than €26 million of Next Generation EU funds to this project. If the project were deemed to be environmentally unsustainable, the EU could refuse to allow it to be carried out with its funds.

The project is budgeted at 35 million euros and should be completed by 2025, while the economic impact could reach 50 million euros per year in the first three years of operation. It would have three embarkation and disembarkation stations in Astún, Formigal and Canal Roya with 115 cabins.
