23-year-old woman killed her rapist while he was raping her. She kept the body for at least 20 hours and then took it out into the street in a plastic bag.
Her defence called the decision "discriminatory" and plans to appeal the verdict. She remains at large pending further legal action. The single mother from the southern state of Oaxaca had already spent nine months in pre-trial detention before being released for the duration of the trial. She will also have to pay the man's family more than $16,000 in compensation.
