A dead sperm whale has been discovered on the north coast of Mallorca. The carcass was wedged between two rocks and posed no danger to ships or bathers.
Trained personnel have taken tissue samples from the carcass of the four-meter-long female cub to determine the cause of death. The dead animal should not be removed from the place where it was found, a spokesman for the Palma Aquarium was quoted as saying by the "Mallorca Zeitung"
