Roger Waters has been criticized for anti-Semitic remarks, and now his »This is not a Drill« tour is reaching Berlin. Culture Senator Joe Chialo does not see a carte blanche in artistic freedom – and calls for a democracy clause.
"I condemn in the strongest possible terms the appearance of an artist like Roger Waters, who launches balloons in the shape of pigs with Stars of David," he says. "Fighting anti-Semitism and protecting artistic freedom are not a contradiction," he adds.
