Designer Amanda Calbucura Marklund has roots from Sapmi and the Mapuche people in southern Chile. She finds inspiration for her works at the Museum of Ethnography in Stockholm, among others.
But she is critical of the lack of sufficient information about where – and from which indigenous group – certain objects come. The museum agrees with the criticism and that "a thorough decolonization work is underway" in dialogue with representatives of the indigenous peoples represented in the collections and exhibitions.
