The Court of Appeal is now reconsidering the district court's ruling. A woman who participated in the SVT documentary "Vaccinkrigarna" won in court earlier this year.
She sued the state for SEK 100,000 for how she was portrayed in the documentary. The woman claims that the journalists behind the documentary tricked her into sharing her vaccine-critical opinion. The verdict received criticism from several quarters, including from the Swedish Union of Journalists and SVT's media director Jan Helin.
