Four children are said to have survived a plane crash and then for 17 days in the Amazon rainforest. Colombian President Gustavo Petro spoke of a "stroke of luck for the country" Security forces on the ground could not confirm that they rescued the children, according to local media.

There are at least indications that the children are alive. But where they are currently located is therefore not clear. The children are an eleven-month-old baby and three children aged four, nine and 13. They were aboard a Cessna 206 that had disappeared from radar on May 1.
