[HIGHLIGHTS] Chinese officials expose 67 farmland violations and violations, half of which are involved in local "crimes against the wind"

China's Ministry of Natural Resources on April 14 issued a public report on 14 major typical problems found by cultivated land protection inspectors in 2022. The problems reported this time include: encroachment on cultivated land, digging lakes for landscaping, construction of green belts and green channels beyond the standard 13 problems.

The inspectors found that the rectification of problems was ineffective and there were 3 frauds. Some city and county party committees, governments, and departments illegally granted land, illegally acquired land, and led the promotion of illegal land occupation.
