China's first unmarried egg freezing case did not pronounce a verdict in court in the second instance. The party: will exhaust legal channels to fight.
Xu Zaozao, 30, sought egg freezing services from Beijing Maternity Hospital, but was rejected because she was unmarried. After two hearings in 2019 and 2021, in 2022, the case lost in the first instance, and all of Xu Zoezao's claims were dismissed. The judge asked more carefully about the relationship between egg freezing technology and artificial assisted reproductive technology.
