Shizuoka City introduced a manhole cover with a manga "Chibi Maruko-chan" drawn on it. The lid depicts the main character, Maruko, and grandfather Tomozo walking along the old Tokaido Road with Mt.
Fuji in the background. The city plans to install all nine lids in the city by mid-July, and will announce the locations on the city's website soon. It is to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sewerage business in Shizuoka.
