Actor Alec Baldwin has been charged with fatally shooting while filming the 2021 movie Rust. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was hit and died, and the film's director Joel Souza was injured.
Baldwin risked up to 18 months in prison if convicted in trial, but now the charges have been dropped. There is currently no information on whether the charges against Hannah Gutierrez-Reed will be dropped. The American Hollywood star has always denied the allegations. The film production was halted after the accident but has resumed again this year.
