Filmmaker Carla Simón, winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlinale for her film "Alcarràs", announced on Monday that he is withdrawing from the candidacy of Junts. Simón was going to appear as an independent in the town of Les Planes d'Hostoles, Cogolls i les Encies (Girona) in the next municipal elections.
The inclusion of the film director in the Junts candidacy was announced last week in a message on her Twitter account.
