Rita Lee, known worldwide with her hit "Lança Perfume," died Monday night in Sao Paulo. She had been suffering from lung cancer since 2021.
The wake will take place Wednesday, at the planetarium of Ibirapuera Park, the green lung of the Brazilian megalopolis. She retired from the stage at the age of 64, in 2012, and has since lived as a recluse with her husband, Roberto de Carvalho, and among her animals.
