Beate Zschäpe spoke to the Bavarian NSU committee in an hour-long interrogation. It was the first time she had spoken out since the end of the NSU trial.

She said that she did not want the deeds – but also that they were only possible because of her. She was sentenced to life in prison in 2018 after more than five years of trial – only then was the only survivor, Uwe Böhnhardt, sentenced to more than four years in prison.
