More than 3,000 drugs reported out of stock or at risk of shortage since 2022. Amoxicillin, paracetamol, analgesic, antiepileptic, anticancer, abortion pill are particularly concerned by shortages or supply tensions.
A Senate committee is currently working on solutions to limit shortages in the future. The government is also drawing up a list of about 280 "essential" medicines, in an attempt to avoid future shortages. Insulin, amoxicillin and paracetmol should be included in the list.
