The China Earthquake Network officially measured that a 5.4-magnitude earthquake occurred at 10:15 on May 4 in Xingwen County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. Rescue forces have rushed to the scene to verify the disaster, and have not yet received information such as house collapse and people trapped.
A total of 200 earthquakes of magnitude 5 or higher have occurred within 3 kilometers of the epicenter in the past five years, the largest of which was a 286.2021 magnitude earthquake in Luxian County, Luzhou City.
