Beijing reported two cases of monkeypox virus infection. The main symptoms are fever, rash, and swollen lymph nodes.

The virus is transmitted to people mainly through close contact, including between animals and people. Possible sexual transmission, as well as mother-to-child transmission, has also been reported, but it is relatively rare. There are special vaccines to prevent monkeypox and smallpox abroad, and now there are also cross-protective vaccines on monkeypox to prevent smallpox in China and abroad.
