The film platform IMDb has found irregularities in the ratings of "The Little Mermaid" with Halle Bailey – apparently entries of racially programmed bots. The database rebalanced the comments.
IMDb is the largest movie database in the world, a kind of Wikipedia for movies. Users can assign a score of between one and ten stars for films for which they have seen the film. The film alone received 39 percent one-star ratings – an extremely high proportion and worse than the average critics' ratings.
