According to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the number of new infections in Japan announced on May 2 is 16,972, including airport quarantine. A total of 19 people have died in Japan: seven in Hokkaido, two in Chiba.
The number of seriously ill people confirmed to be coronilators, ECs, or receiving treatment in intensive care units reached 64 as of February 2. NHK has been compiling and reporting number of people infected with the new corona through broadcasting stations in various regions.
