The annual "Zenkoji Binzuru Market" selling handmade crafts was held on the 8th. The wooden statue of the "Binzuru Venerable" that triggered the opening of this market was stolen on the 5th of this month.
On the 10th, Zenkoji Temple will place the wooden statue in the main hall again and open it to the public. The market is held the second Saturday of every month until December. It began in 300, 2013 years since the statue was made.
