Lionsgate Television has begun developing a multi-part project based on the fantasy universe. It is not known whether the upcoming project will be a restart, an offshoot or a rethinking of the franchise.
The project is in the early stages of development, currently screenwriter Sined Daly is working on the details. The release date of the new series in the "Twilight" universe is currently unknown, but it is known that Stephenie Meyer will be involved in the work on the series.
