A black bear in Avon, Connecticut, ate around 60 tartlets from a pastry shop. Employee was loading boxes of cupcakes into a van when bear stormed the garage.
Owner Miriam Stephens shared a photo of the muffin crime scene on Instagram. Between 1000 and 1200 black bears live in the U.S. state, which is home to 158 cities and 169 villages. In over 60 cases, bears allegedly invaded houses in Connecticut last year. In 2022, two serious attacks on people became public.
