A parade calling for an end to discrimination and prejudice against LGBTQ and other sexual minorities was held in Shibuya, Tokyo on the 23rd. 39 organizations, including support groups, companies, and embassy officials, participated.

Participants wore rainbow makeup and colorful costumes to express their individuality.Holding rainbow flags and banners symbolizing diversity, they walked through the city chanting "Happy Pride" and "I am proud to be a Japanese person" and waving rainbow flags. The parade ended in Yoyogi Park, where various events were held over two days last weekend.
