Andrei Voznesensky was one of the brightest cultural figures of the sixties. His work caused controversy and criticism of officials.

Part of the public adored his poetry, theatrical figures staged performances based on his poems, and popular artists performed songs. In 1978 he was awarded the USSR State Prize for the collection "Stained Glass Master" After the Paris festival "Triumph" in 1996, he was recognized as a great poet of our time. He died in Moscow in 2007.
