As normalization from the corona disaster progresses, the number of Japan people leaving overseas is sluggish compared to foreign visitors to Japan. The Japan Tourism Agency has decided to promote efforts to recover demand for overseas travel in cooperation with national tourism organizations in each country.
The National Tourism Bureaus of each country will bear the cost of providing 36,3210 yen worth of electronic gift certificates per person to 1,8000 people who have newly acquired passports or renewed their expiration dates. The opportunity for students and other young people to go abroad has decreased significantly due to the coronavirus pandemic.
