Viktor Vasnetsov is a master of folklore painting, architect and artist. In his work, he moved away from everyday themes, and often turned to fairy-tale and religious Russia.
The painter's canvases adorn the Tretyakov Gallery, the Historical Museum in Moscow, the Ilya Glazunov Gallery and many other significant cultural objects. The new aesthetics in architecture was reflected in the design of the temples and the house (now the Vasnetov House-Museum)
