Valentin Yudashkin was born in 1963 in the Moscow region. He was the first Russian admitted to the Syndicate of Haute Couture in Paris.

In recent years, the designer struggled with a serious illness - in 2016 he was diagnosed with oncology. He is the People's Artist of the Russian Federation, designer of clothes and accessories, first Russian to be admitted to this Syndicate. He has a son, Yevgeny, and a daughter, Katerina.
