The traditional "Naki Sumo" in which babies compete on the ring is held at a shrine in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. 4 babies from all over Japan from 6 months old to 1 year and 8 months of age participated and competed in the East and West divisions.
The mother of a 1-year-old and 4-month-old boy from Kitakami City said, "I cried, but I think I did my best, and I hope that the child will grow up to be a child who challenges various things"
