The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Russia decided to keep the key rate at 7.5% per annum. By the beginning of June, the growth rate of consumer prices for goods and services in the country increased to 2.6% compared to April 2.3%.

According to the regulator, economic activity is growing faster than expected, which leads to a more active recovery in consumer demand. The regulator does not rule out the possibility of a rate hike in the near future.
