The branch of the Syrian Investment Commission in Sweida announced the placement of the "Conservatory Laboratory" project included in the Investment Law No. "18" of 2021 at an estimated cost of one billion and 680 million Syrian pounds, according to branch manager Mays Fahd.

Fahd indicated in a statement to SANA correspondent today that the project, located to the west of the city of Suwayda at the site of Tal Al-Hadid, provides about 60 job opportunities on three shifts, and is one of the important food industry projects that contribute to facilitating the receipt of surplus production of farmers of the province of tomatoes, reducing transportation and shipping costs, and securing food consumption requirements.

Fahd pointed out that this project is the second in the governorate in accordance with Law No. "18" after the introduction of an integrated complex for raising poultry birds and meat production into service during the last period, indicating that there is a third project on the same law for the manufacture of glass bottles and bottles in the industrial city of um al-Zaytoun, which is being implemented to operate soon.

The total number of projects covered by the investment laws in Sweida Governorate to date is about 134 multi-purpose agricultural, industrial and service projects.
