Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced that in 2022 Russia received more than 20 orders from different countries for the purchase of energy resources, in particular crude oil.

In an article on the expansion of the geography of Russian energy exports published in the magazine "Energy Policy" of the Ministry of Energy, Novak said that last year more than 20 orders were received from different countries, especially from Asia for the supply of oil, petroleum products and liquefied natural gas, which is an indication that there is a great potential to expand the geography of exports.

In order to strengthen the country's financial sovereignty, the rapid transition to settlements in national currencies is of particular importance, Novak said, noting that a large part of the settlements are carried out in rubles, yuan and rupees.

The Russian official also pointed to the increasing number of countries switching to settlements in national currencies with their partners, noting that there is a noticeable rise in exports of energy resources from Russia to India and China.
