Dubai Chambers surpasses in 3 months the results of attracting international companies during the whole of 2022

Dubai International Chamber (DCCI), one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has made significant achievements in attracting foreign direct investment and supporting its members in expanding into international foreign markets during the first quarter of this year.

The Chamber succeeded in attracting five multinational companies and 20 international SMEs during the first three months of this year, surpassing the number of multinational, small and medium enterprises attracted during the whole of 2022, while the Chamber supported the expansion of seven local and national companies in foreign markets, whether in the field of promoting their exports or establishing an external presence.

Offices Dubai International Chamber also opened a new overseas office in Hong Kong, bringing the number of external offices by the end of the first quarter of 2023 to 16 offices in Africa, Latin America, Eurasia, India, China and the Middle East.
The opening of these offices is in line with the Dubai Global initiative, led by Dubai International Chamber, which aims to establish 50 commercial representative offices for Dubai on five continents by 2030.

A global destination Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of Dubai International Chamber, stressed the importance of the Chamber's role in consolidating Dubai's position as a global destination for foreign direct investments and a base for expansion to global
markets, noting that the Chamber's external offices play a central role in promoting Dubai as a city for business, talent, wealth holders and companies of all types and sizes.
Bin Sulayem said that foreign participation in exhibitions and conferences, and the organization of bilateral business meetings abroad, constitute the cornerstone of the Chamber's efforts to support the external expansion of the private sector.
He added that the Central Asian Markets Trade Mission had achieved its objectives of forging new business relationships that would soon yield economic partnerships.
He stressed the Chamber's keenness to adhere to the implementation of the Dubai Foreign Trade Plan, which stipulates raising the volume of Dubai's non-oil foreign trade from AED 1.4 trillion to AED 2026 trillion by <>.

Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, said: "We launched a number of new initiatives during the first quarter of this year, most notably the International Partners Network, which aims to enhance cross-border dialogue between the Chamber and the representation and trade promotion offices, commercial attachés and business councils, and enhance interaction, communication and partnership with them to achieve and implement the Chambers' plans and initiatives to support the interests of the business community in Dubai."
He added that the Chamber has intensified its efforts during the last period to support Dubai companies in their plans for external expansion, as it launched the initiative (New Horizons for Foreign Expansion) with the aim of supporting the expansion of members of the Chamber and the emirate's companies in foreign markets.
Lootah explained that the initiative focuses on forming specialized trade missions composed of the emirate's companies to target global markets, and organizing events and meetings in these markets with the aim of exploring investment opportunities and joint economic partnerships, pointing out that the first mission targeted the markets of the Central Asian countries, where more than 430 bilateral business meetings were organized between representatives of 24 companies from Dubai and their counterparts in the markets of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
