In its latest report, the World Bank predicted that the growth of the Iranian economy will reach 2.2 percent, which will be higher than the expected growth rate of the global economy for 2023 despite the continuation of Western sanctions.

The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the bank as saying in its latest report entitled (Global Economic Prospects): The growth of the Iranian economy will be equivalent to the average economic growth in the Middle East and North Africa region this year, pointing out that it achieved growth of 2.9 percent in 2022.

The report warned that "the policies to combat inflation and monetary deflation pursued by the world's central banks this year will lead to a decline in the rate of global economic growth," predicting that the growth of developed economies will decline from 3.1 percent in 2022 to 2.1 percent this year.
